Why most job ads get the wrong applicants

A vague ad produces vague applicants. The ads that fill a role say the pay, the hours, the place and what a week actually looks like, and they are put where the right people are looking rather than only on a job board. That is advertising, and it is the same craft as selling a service.

Local recruitment

For a local hire, the same channels that sell a service sell a job. A social campaign puts the role in front of the right age and place with artwork that says what the job pays and what a week looks like. A search campaign catches the person typing the job title and the town. A radio spot in the market reaches people already there. The ad is written so a candidate knows the pay, the hours, the place and the next step, because a vague ad produces vague applicants.

What we will not do

Write an ad that hides the pay or the conditions. Candidates read past those, and an employer that is upfront gets better applicants and fewer wasted interviews. If a role is hard to fill because of what it offers rather than how it is advertised, we will say that too.

Questions we get asked

Do you write the ad?

Yes. You give us the role, the pay range, the hours and the place, and we write the ad and design the artwork.

Can you run a recruitment campaign in one town?

Yes. Social, search and radio can each be targeted to a single market.

Do you screen applicants?

No. We bring the applicants to you; the screening and the interviewing are yours.

Ask about recruitment

Tell us what you sell and where. We come back in business hours with a straight answer, and if this is the wrong service for what you are after we say which one is.
